According to Appmagic’s September 2024 report, Tencent placed four of its games in the top 10 for global mobile game revenue. 🔝 Tencent’s “Honor of Kings” retained its crown, raking in $140M in in-app purchases from the Apple App Store and Google Play. However, this is slightly down by $20M compared to August. Other Tencent hits like PUBG Mobile, Candy Crush, and Dungeon & Fighter: Origins also performed well, with the latter experiencing a notable drop in revenue, from $120M in August to $74.9M in September. Despite this, Tencent still holds a commanding four spots in the top 10. 🏆
📈 MiHoYo continues to impress! Their turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail saw significant growth, generating nearly $50M in September, a sharp rise from $30M in the previous months. However, their new game Zenless Zone Zero has yet to match the performance of their flagship titles, pulling in $25M.
💥 Papergames made waves with their 3D romance game Love & Deep Space, hitting a record high of over $30M in revenue and jumping 8 places in the global ranking. The company is also gearing up for the release of Shining Nikki, launching a closed beta on both PC and mobile.
🌟 Micro Fun has shown strong growth as well with its puzzle game Romantic Restaurant, earning $18M in September and ranking 36th globally.
