During those 365 days I’ve achieved a lot, including some really wonderful career highlights, and I just feel so fortunate to do what I love in business.
Before I share some of those highlights I would like to say thank you to all of my team who helped me a long the way, the partners and studios and obviously the Kwalee executive leadership team for their guidance.
A few highlights:
– Met 100’s of developers, tested 1000’s of games and signed 10+ incredible studios that were working with right now to bring killer games to market. – Tested dozens of internal game concepts across different studios and brought to market some great prospects (the best are yet to come!) – Started writing articles using my experience in the industry to help those learning about UA, monetisation and publishing to grow, which have been viewed 1000’s of times! – Launched a best in market publishing platform, the first in the world localised to Arabic and having an eye on MENA. – Nominated forTIGA’s outstanding leadership award. – Launched Kwalee’s first casual publishing title in Text Express. – Went from managing Publishing to all of Mobile at Kwalee, nearly 180 amazing professionals globally. – Grew my social presence on LinkedIn with nearly 1.5m impressions during that time and nearly 10k followers. – Was interviewed by industry leading publications likeForbesandTechCrunch – Got regular featuring on mobile gaming focused websites likeGamesforumPocketGamer.bizandmobilegamer.biz. – Spoke on stage at 10+ events on 3 continents, a highlight beingGoogleThink Games Istanbul to 100’s of my peers. – Did multiple podcasts including double features onDeconstructor of Funandtwo & a half gamers(my two personal favourites).
And not to forget, the personal, mind blowing and life changing event of adopting my sons.
All of this wouldn’t be possible with the amazing people around me, my team, my friends, my family. My motto in life is “get sh*t done” and I feel like that I accomplished that this year.
