As with every innovation, the AI adoption cycle follows the classic path. After the initial excitement that came with tools such as ChatGPT and Midjourney, we entered the Trough of Disillusionment. People have formed the opinion that AI is stupid and just another fad after not getting the magic they expected.

We are still in the early days of AI adoption, and many things are far from perfect.

On the other hand, when I look around the office, AI already helps us on many fronts and brings substantial value to the business.

Today, I want to share a couple of practical examples of how I personally use ChatGPT, which has pretty much become synonymous with AI, at least when looking at Google Trends.

1. Improving clarity/shortening text

Bonus: Generating a rap song

Combine ChatGPT with the text-to-speech tool Uberduck and a track from Motion Array to create a hilarious promotion announcement in the form of a rap song.

Midjourney enters hardware, according to a post on X (formerly Twitter). I met David Holz, the founder, in San Francisco back in 2013 when he was working on a gesture-tracking system called Leap Motion. It’s no surprise to me that he’s taking up soldering irons and circuits again.
