Pocket Worlds introduces Highrise 4.0, enabling creators to construct and monetize virtual experiences.
Pocket Worlds, established in 2013, secured a $7 million investment earlier in 2021. Highrise debuted on mobile in 2019, boasting a user base exceeding 50 million and supporting 10,000 creators. With over 40 million users, Highrise serves as a hub for UGC, with 680,000 weekly users spending an average of 90 minutes in-game.
Highrise Studio offers creators development tools within Unity, allowing them to create new 3D game elements. These creations seamlessly deploy into the Highrise world. Creators earn from their content through the Creator Exchange program, based on sales and engagement time. In 2023, over 5,000 designers made almost half a million dollars from unique items.
Exciting Life or Deception Simulator
“At Pocket Worlds, we are building bleeding-edge technology that enables creators to build the next generation of immersive experiences,” said CEO Anton Bernstein. “These new tools will empower creators to make 3D games and experiences without friction or limitations. This marks the next chapter for Highrise as we evolve our platform and look to challenge other virtual worlds like Roblox. Personally, I’m hoping for an exciting life or deception simulator.”
Highrise 4 is now live for players, with the new Highrise Studio ready for creators to deploy their creations. Development for Windows and Mac is underway.
